Abide Dance Co. started very simply in September of 2024 with five young girls who wanted to learn how to dance and an eager teacher. I had always dreamed of being a dance teacher and held onto this dream even as life made it seem unlikely. Within a few months I moved 600 miles away from where I grew up, and the dance studio I was studying at, as well as handling a serious dance injury. 

The birth of Abide was humble and small, but I trusted that God would cause it to grow if that’s what He willed for my life. Just like the verse Abide is based off of (John 15:4), I knew that I could never succeed in anything at any capacity except through Christ. I dedicated my business to His leading. 

As the season went on, I realized that instructing young dancers was a passion and a joy, and I continued to pray for growth. 

The next season, we were blessed to need to open three additional classes! We were able to partially sponsor two students in our community, host a Spring Showcase at a local theater and provide Abide apparel.

After a summer break to recharge and become reinspired, we opened our doors in August of 2025 at a new location with a renewed sense of energy and readiness. All seven classes filled and we got to celebrate Abide’s 1st Birthday, as well as the mark of a new season. 

And Abide continues to grow! We would love for your family to be apart of the community we are creating- one of encouragement, growth, and God-glorifying artistry. 

Abide Dance Co. sticks out from the rest because we dance to glorify the only One worthy of praise, God. We will never back down from our commitment to uphold our values on modesty, godliness, encouragement, enviroment and wholesome talk.

The theme of Abide is found in all of John 15, but especially verse 4: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.”

Jesus tells us that if we seek Him and abide in Him, He will abide and dwell in us. In abiding in Christ, we will grow abundantly (vs. 4), find great joy (vs.11), and glorify our precious Creator (vs.8).

At Abide, all students will be pointed to the Lord and encouraged to walk in His light and love at all times. We acknowledge that our growth and changes are in His hands as the perfect gardener, and trust Him completely as He works in and through us. We seek the Lord’s guidance and wisdom in all things, and desire to glorify Him above all else. We recognize that we cannot grow in any way unless we abide in Christ and His great, unchanging love towards us. We joyfully welcome all students who join our company, realizing the responsibility we have in training them in dance and pointing them to their Heavenly Father.

My prayer is that Abide will encourage you and your child, whatever season you are in. I pray you know that you are loved and cherished as a precious creation made for extraordinary things, and that you will grow in many ways as you seek Christ.
